The choice is yours!

Improve Your Teaching Skills

An array of topics to choose from, all based on the latest medical literature with practical tips and tricks for the busy clinician!

Create Your Own Course –Even Flip It!

Every clinician has different teaching experiences and challenges. At TME, you have the option to pick and choose a few webinars to improve your teaching skills or all the webinars with our bundled course. Create your own course based on your own needs. The choice is yours. We’ve even provided discussion questions to flip your learning.

Short and Sweet

We know your days (and nights) are long but your time is short. Made to be watched in the time it takes to eat lunch or commute home, we’ve created webinars that are 45 minutes or less.

Learn Anywhere, Anytime

We know as a busy clinician, you are always on the go. That’s why we’ve made sure you can access our webinars on any device, 24/7.

Set Your Pace

Patients need you, email beckons, there’s all that paperwork to keep up on…. we recognize that learning can’t always happen on a regular schedule. Here at TME, you set the pace. Watch all the webinars at once or one at a time.

These activities are jointly provided by Postgraduate Institute for Medicine and The Medical Educator.

Erica Howe, M.D.

Hello and welcome! I'm a board-certified physician who started practice as a Hospitalist in 2007. My passion for improving medical education began during my chief residency year at Tulane in New Orleans, Louisiana. Thereafter, I began developing curricula for Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the Collaborative Inpatient Medicine Service at Johns Hopkins Bayview.

In 2011, I joined the faculty at the University of Kansas Medical Center where I began developing and teaching the Doctors as Educators Faculty Development Series. As that course grew, I found more and more clinicians reaching out to me asking me to come teach the course at a time that worked better for their busy clinical schedules....often early-morning or late-evening. This online course is the answer to that request!

To all the busy clinicians out there: you really can make a difference through your teaching! With The Medical Educator, I hope to give you the tools you need to do it more effectively and efficiently on your schedule! Enjoy!

The Medical Educator provided me with critical exposure to the key concepts essential for an educator as well as important insight into understanding how to best reach learners. After having taken The Medical Educator courses, I am much more confident in my ability to engage with learners in a number of different environments."
